IEEE Student branch of Islamic Azad University Central Tehran Branch was founded on 25 November 2009 by great persuasion and efforts of superior students of Electrical engineering along with the superintendence of the head of Electrical engineering department.
It was due to support and supervision of the honorable board of IEEE Iran section, President and Vice-Presidents of our university, professors and students of engineering faculty.

Three months later on February 2010 the 40th IEEE anniversary conference was held in Iran.
While Professor Jozef MODELSKI, the IEEE region 8 Chair, attended this event, he underlined the outcomes of our branch and appreciated the hard work set forth by students and founders.

From over 9000 students of central branch faculty and engineering college, number of 2000 are being educated in Electrical and Computer engineering. An inner disciplinary workshops and seminars in Electrical engineering based on coordinate ideas of Electrical and Computer fields, is designed by IEEE Student Branch.
Within less than two years there are records of more than 48 articles which was submitted by efforts of professors and students of Computer and Electrical engineering at IEEE Xplore.
